Reformers Under the Snow

Taken on the same day as an exceptional snowfall in Geneva, this image presents a singular spectacle at the Parc des Bastions. The statues of the four main Protestant reformers, usually stoic, are here draped in an unusual layer of snow. The contrast between the solemn figures and the lightness of the snow lends the scene a strange and uncommon atmosphere.
